Where is my game progress stored?
Spell the Hive stores your game progress locally on your device. We do not transmit or save your progress to external databases or servers. If you delete the app or clear local storage, progress resets.
Can I play Spell the Hive offline?
Yes. Dictionaries and clue datasets are bundled with the app, so you can play offline in airplane mode or anywhere without a connection.
How do I report a missing or incorrect word?
Tap the flag icon next to a word definition in the app. The dictionaries are curated by hand, and reports help improve the word lists.
Why are some plurals or conjugations rejected?
The game follows strict vocabulary standards to keep puzzles challenging. English filters many plural forms ending in S when the singular root exists, and obscure words, hyphenated words, and abbreviations are excluded.
How do daily reminders and notifications work?
If enabled, reminders are scheduled locally by your device OS. No external push servers or personal notification tracking are involved.
