Spelling Hive
Yes, another spelling bee game. I made one because the free versions are buried in ads, the polished one asks for a subscription, and none of them play in Spanish or Portuguese. So I built the one I actually wanted.
What sets it apart.
Free, forever
No ads. No paywall. No subscription.
Free, forever
No ads. No paywall. No subscription.
No ads, no tracking, no account, no upsell buried three screens deep. The free spelling games I tried were stuffed with ads, and the good one costs money. This one just doesn't.
Actually multilingual
English, Spanish, Portuguese. More on the way.

Each language has its own word list checked by hand. It's not an English dictionary run through a translator, so the puzzles feel native in every language.
Progress worth chasing
10 bee-themed ranks. Badges. Streaks.
Progress worth chasing
10 bee-themed ranks. Badges. Streaks.
Ten bee-themed ranks, a shelf of badges, and streaks that track how you're doing over time. Something to come back for that isn't a once-a-day countdown timer.
Hints on your terms
Earn nectar by playing. Spend it on hints.
Hints on your terms
Earn nectar by playing. Spend it on hints.
Every word you find earns nectar. Spend it on hints and clues whenever you're stuck, at your own pace. No paywall, no waiting, no watching an ad to keep playing.
Unlimited puzzles
13,000+ puzzles. No daily limit.
Unlimited puzzles
13,000+ puzzles. No daily limit.
There's no daily limit. Play one puzzle or fifty, and they won't repeat until you've worked through all thirteen thousand of them.
Built to feel good
3 themes. Works offline. Definitions on tap.
Built to feel good
3 themes. Works offline. Definitions on tap.
Three themes, snappy input, definitions on tap, and it all works offline. I spent most of the time here, on the small stuff that makes it pleasant to open every day.
A look inside.
Come break it before launch.
The game plays end to end already. What it needs now is real people poking at it.

What I'm after
Play a few puzzles and tell me what feels off: bugs, missing words, confusing screens, etc.
